Hair and costumes

Hair ideas-

I am going to use ones of these hairstyles for the scenes in Lola's bedroom. In this scene I want Lola to look as though she doesn't care about her apperance as she is about to go to bed.

The first hairstyle is simply two braids which make the character look vunerable as these are often used on small children and therefore will give the idea that Lola is vunerable and small.

The second hairstyle is a simple ponytail which will give an effortless look.

The third image is a simple wavy hairstyle which will give the character a laid back kind of look.

The fouth hairtsyle is a hairstyle most teenaged girls use when they don't want to make an effort. This look is a messy bun and is used to make my character look relaxed and comfortable in her surroundings before the disruption.

I am going to use one of these hairstyle on my male gangster for all of the scenes.

The first hairstyle is a quiffed style which is very popular among the male population right now and therefore will appeal to my target audience of males. This look also shows that the male antagonist will care about their appearance which is a code and convention of the gangster genre.

The second hairstyle is a shaved head which is often used to show a hard man image in many films. For example like Jason Statham in the image who often plays many 'hard man' roles.

The third look is a simple spike hairstyle which is also popular among the male population and makes for a casual look.

Costume ideas-

Lola's costume will consist of a pair of warm looking pyjamas. I want her costume to reflect what was happening to her before she was abducted. The costume will also show how it is cold outside and for the scene were Lola is in the warehouse I want the audience to know she's cold and scared and therefore using pyjama's will make Lola look more vunerable and therefore at a dis-advantage to the gangster in terms of mise-en-scene.

For the anatagonists costume I want him to reflect a gangster. And therefore I am going to use a black suit. Black to make him look more mysterious and a suit to suggest he cares about his apperance which again is a code and convention of the gangster genre.
